Keeping up momentum in our walking project. As the month starts, Covid numbers are falling but still high and the recent slightly stricter restrictions have been eased – hopefully not prematurely. It seems like a good idea to be out in the fresh air (albeit with the occasional visit to socially-distanced pubs!).

Happy New Year. Hopefully this year, we will finish our project to complete 52 different local-ish circular walks (one for each week of the year). Our first walk this month will be our 38th.

Into our second year of regular weekly walks. As the month starts, talk of the new Omicron virus variant is darkening the horizon, but the footpaths, lanes, and pubs of Cambridgeshire are still open for business. The gradual easing of the 2020/21 winter lockdown is becoming more noticeable as we enter April – and we may venture slightly further afield with some of our walks this month.
